Scott's BBQ Breaking Ground in Charleston

Whole Hog on Its Way to the Charleston Peninsula

A few months ago, Rodney Scott announced that he was bringing his famous whole hog, burn-barrel style of barbecue down from Hemingway, South Carolina, to a new restaurant in downtown Charleston. At the time he said he hoped to be open by the end of the year. With Turkey Day bearing down on us, that seems a bit optimistic, but as the Instagram video he posted shows, ground has now been broken and work is underway—we assume on the new pit house he is constructing out behind the building that formerly held Chicks' Fry house:

We are coming Charleston!!!
